The government has imposed strict restrictions to prevent coronavirus infection. Police arrested more than 100 people in the capital’s Lalbagh on Tuesday (July 6th) until 1pm for violating the rules.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Lalbagh Zone Deputy Commissioner (DC) said. Jasim Uddin Mollah said that as per the instructions of the DMP commissioner, patrols in Lalbagh and search of 16 checkposts have been carried out since Tuesday morning. In addition, awareness activities and free masks are being distributed.
According to police sources, patrols have been intensified in Dhakeswari Temple, Lalbagh Fort, Bangshal, Nawabpur and surrounding areas since this morning. People are being asked not to leave the house without a reason. Even then, people were seen gathering in some places in these areas.
